The Knife is a bladed melee weapon that has featured in nearly every 3D Universe and HD Universe Grand Theft Auto game and is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. In Grand Theft Auto V it is manufactured by Hawk & Little as a dual-edged, serrated carbon steel blade, though across the series its exact design has shifted repeatedly to echo different real-world knives depending on the game's setting. As one of the series' original melee weapons, it has consistently served as a fast, easily obtained close-quarters option.
